
As part of ongoing efforts to advance Kabul’s development and reconstruction, Mohammad Sohail Shahin, a recognized figure of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Afghanistan’s ambassador to Qatar, met with the Kabul Mayor and visited several public and infrastructure projects across the city.
During the visit, the Kabul Mayor presented an overview of the city’s development plans and activities, stating that the municipality’s leadership is committed to the principle of stable development. He noted that more than 200 projects are currently underway across different parts of Kabul, including road networks, urban facilities, and commercial markets.
He further highlighted that serious coordination is being maintained in the areas of road design, urban planning, market construction, project timelines, and land acquisition processes in cooperation with relevant institutions.
Meanwhile, Mr. Shahin described the completed and ongoing urban development projects of the past four years as unprecedented, emphasizing that these initiatives have gained the satisfaction of Kabul residents and inspired hope for a brighter future.
He urged the need to identify the municipality’s core requirements in order to further expand Kabul’s growth and development with the cooperation and support of international aid organizations.
The Kabul Mayor assured that all public welfare and infrastructure projects in the city are being implemented according to technical and development standards and will be completed on schedule so that citizens can see the practical results of the promises made to them.
