The reconstruction work of the boundary wall of the historic Qala-e-Fatuh garden, located in District 7 of Kabul city, is being carried out continuously by Kabul Municipality using traditional (mud-brick) architectural style over a length of 500 meters.

Qala-e-Fatuh Garden, considered one of Kabul’s valuable historical and cultural heritages, spans an area of 28 jeribs and is also known as the “Government Garden.”
This site was formerly the residence of the King of Bukhara and is currently owned and managed by Kabul Municipality, similar to the Chihilsitoon and Babur gardens.

In addition to reconstructing the boundary walls and building the main gate, Kabul Municipality has undertaken comprehensive plans for the development and full restoration of this historic space. These include paving pedestrian walkways, installing shade structures, setting up lighting systems, placing trash bins and benches, expanding greenery, building a secure and efficient irrigation system, and creating a suitable recreational space for citizens.

The aim of these efforts is to preserve the garden’s historical authenticity while restoring its public and recreational functions for the residents of Kabul.
