Last night, the Directorate of Market Regulation of Kabul Municipality, through an inspection program, reviewed and monitored the use of fresh local fruits in a number of wedding hotels in the city.
Engineer Esmatullah "Ansar", the deputy head of this directorate, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of hotel owners and said:
"Given the prior awareness campaigns, fortunately, most wedding hotels are now using fresh domestic fruits instead of imported ones. This measure not only supports local production but is also a valuable step toward strengthening the national economy."
He pointed out that during the inspection, one hotel was shut down due to a violation. He also emphasized that monitoring of all hotels will continue, and any violations will be dealt with according to the law.
On the other hand, several hotel managers welcomed this initiative and pledged to support farmers and the growth of agricultural products in the country by using only fresh local fruits in their events from now on.
This decision could serve as an added motivation for the country’s farmers and orchard owners toward development and increased production.
