Following the completion of foundational work, the asphalting of 500 meters of the main lanes of the Kabul–Logar Road has officially commenced. Previously, over two kilometers of the road had already been asphalted, and work is actively underway on the remaining sections to prepare them for the next phases. The asphalting process is being conducted under the technical supervision of engineers from the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management to ensure adherence to high standards. The Kabul–Logar Road, stretching 7 kilometers from Nejat Monument to Charkh-e Ab with a width of 60 meters, includes the construction of a major canal, a connecting canal, drainage ditches, sidewalks, flower beds, road markings, lighting installations, and other components of a standard road. As a vital economic corridor in the southern part of Kabul, the Municipality remains committed to completing the asphalting of both the two main and two secondary lanes of this road to standard within the current year.
