After testing the construction materials and completing the foundational work, asphalting on the first section of the Kabul–Logar road is progressing to a high standard. Officials involved in the project are working to complete all phases of the asphalting process within the current year and open the road to traffic. Up to this point, one main lane measuring 1.5 kilometers and one secondary lane spanning 2 kilometers have been asphalted. Meanwhile, foundational construction continues on the remaining sections to prepare them for paving. This section of the Kabul–Logar road, which runs from Nejat Monument to Charkh-e Ab, covers a total length of 7 kilometers and a width of 60 meters. The project includes the construction of a large canal, a connecting canal, drainage systems, sidewalks, flowerbeds, road markings, streetlight installations, and other components of a standard road
