Work is currently underway on a new connecting road from Alauddin Intersection to Takhnikum in District 7, with preparations being made to begin the asphalting process soon. The road extends 1,767 meters in length and 30 meters in width, linking Darulaman Road with the Chehelston area. It is planned to be constructed in accordance with modern engineering standards and is expected to be completed within this year. Engineer Faiq Ahmad “Tasal,” Head of Urban Infrastructure at Kabul Municipality, stated that the designs for two bridges over the Kabul River—each 27.85 meters long and 9.2 meters wide—have been finalized, and construction is scheduled to start shortly. Throughout the project, engineers from the Kabul Municipality’s Programs and Projects Management Directorate are closely supervising the technical and engineering aspects to ensure timely and high-quality completion. This road plays a vital role in addressing transportation problems and enhancing the economic prospects of the surrounding areas
