With support from the private sector, Kabul Municipality has completed the construction of the Green Dome (Gunbad-e Khizra), an Islamic and historical landmark, located along Khair Khana Kotal Road in District 17. The project, which costs 3 million Afghanis, was officially inaugurated by Haji Muhammad Nabi Usmani, Deputy of Cultural and Social Affairs, alongside officials from relevant departments and local elders. According to Qari Wali Gul Jawad, Head of Cultural Affairs at Kabul Municipality, the dome is circular with a diameter and width of 10 meters and a height of 11 meters. Walkways have been constructed around the structure, curbstones installed, and a green area established. He added that the interior of the dome has been constructed in the style of a mosque, allowing travelers to perform their prayers there.
