The Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works, Maintenance, and Monitoring has initiated the construction of two vehicle bridges over the Kabul River as part of the new connecting road from the Alauddin intersection to the Takhnikum area. This 30-Million-Afghani project is aimed at improving transportation for city residents. The Kabul Municipality’s Urban Infrastructure Directorate has designed both bridges, each with dimensions of 27.85 meters in length and 9.2 meters in width. These bridges are scheduled for complete construction within the current year. At the same time, work on the road itself — stretching 1,767 meters in length and 30 meters in width — is underway. Construction efforts are being carried out according to established technical and engineering standards, with completion and public access expected within the same year. Once finished, this road will connect Darulaman Road with the Chehelston area, easing traffic congestion in the neighboring districts
