Construction work is currently in progress on the Joi Shir connecting road in District 2, which spans 783 meters in length and 32 meters in width—from the front of the Kabul provincial administration building to the Machine Khana area. Ongoing efforts include excavation, soil transportation, leveling, and the construction of retaining walls and drainage systems. As the road passes through a mountainous area, all physical obstacles have been removed to ensure smooth implementation. Once completed, the road will ease traffic congestion in major areas such as Sadarat Square, Malik Asghar Square, Quwai Markaz, Deh Afghanan, Zir Zameeni, and surrounding areas. It will also support local economic growth and improve transportation for Kabul residents. The project is scheduled to be completed and inaugurated within the current year.
