In an effort to enhance environmental conditions and maintain city cleanliness, Kabul Municipality officials, in collaboration with private sanitation companies, launched a cleaning campaign in District 13. As part of the initiative, a significant amount of light waste was removed from the Kabul River and systematically transported out of the city. District 13 Chief, Mawlawi Abdul Samad Abid, expressed gratitude to the private sanitation companies for their support, noting that the campaign helps address previous delays in sanitation services. He also called on residents to refrain from dumping waste into the Kabul River and to properly dispose of household garbage in designated collection points to ensure timely pickup by municipal workers. The cleaning efforts covered the stretch of the Kabul River from Company Bridge to Naqqash Bathhouse and Qala-e Nazir, where light waste was effectively collected
