The Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works, Maintenance, and Monitoring is pressing ahead with the construction of the remaining 500 meters of the new connecting road linking Khair Khana Kotal to Qargha Road. Authorities anticipate the section will be ready for asphalting within the next week. Situated along the foothills, this stretch has undergone significant excavation and leveling, bringing the project to its final phase. The full road measures 7,645 meters in length and 30 meters in width. Municipal teams are working to complete and open it to the public at the earliest opportunity. Once completed, the road is expected to improve traffic flow between Khair Khana Kotal and Qargha Road, while reducing congestion in the city’s central areas
