With support from the private sector, Kabul Municipality has completed the construction of a dry fruit commercial market in the Behzad Cinema area of District 1. The market is expected to be officially opened for public use soon. The project, designed to promote economic growth, create job opportunities, and organize marketplaces, covers an area of 5,290 square meters. It features a single basement and five blocks across two floors. The market includes 180 shops, parking space for 100 vehicles, one main and three secondary entrances, urban and solar electricity systems, a fire protection system, a mosque, restrooms, and other essential facilities. Notably, the former Behzad Cinema building has been redesigned specifically for dry fruit trade, which is expected to enhance both national and international market opportunities for the sector
