In District 2, construction of the new Joi Sheer connecting road, running from the Kabul Provincial Administration building to the Machine Khana area, is progressing rapidly. The road, measuring 783 meters in length and 32 meters in width, is planned to be completed within the current year and handed over for public use. Simultaneously, construction work is ongoing on another road from Joi Sheer to Pul-e Artal, with a length of 820 meters and a width of 45 meters. Once these projects are completed, traffic congestion in surrounding areas—including Sadarat and Malik Asghar squares, Quwai Markaz, Deh Afghanan, and the Zirzamini—will be greatly reduced, while also supporting economic growth in central Kabul. It is worth noting that the Asmayee Road expansion project, extending from Farhang Intersection to Shah Do Shamshira three-way, is currently in the procurement phase and will soon move into the implementation stage
