Kabul Municipality has started a project in front of Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital that includes the construction of a standard road and a new canal stretching from Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan area to Ajmeer Canal. The project features a 391-meter-long and 30-meter-wide road, along with a 2,700-meter canal varying in width from 90 centimeters to 1.4 meters, aimed at providing a lasting solution to water blockage issues. In addition, the project covers the construction of sidewalks, flowerbeds, and connecting drainage systems, with engineers from the Directorate of Programs and Project Management of Kabul Municipality carrying out continuous technical and engineering supervision. It is worth noting that in past rainy seasons, the absence of a standard canal in this area caused serious challenges for residents. The implementation of this project is now regarded as a sustainable solution to that longstanding problem
