After completing the foundational works, Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Work, Maintenance, and Monitoring has begun asphalting a new connecting road from Dewan-e Begi to Mahtab Qala, covering areas in districts 5, 6, and 13. Currently, a 700-meter section of the road is prepared for asphalting, while work continues on the remaining parts to make them ready for the process. The road has a total length of 1,733 meters and a width of 30 meters. In addition, a major bridge measuring 21.5 meters in length and 20 meters in width is under construction to facilitate vehicle movement. The project also includes the construction of curbstones, pedestrian paths, bicycle lanes, and flowerbeds, along with the installation of traffic signs, streetlights, and road markings. The project is planned for completion by the end of this year. Once finished, the road will reduce traffic congestion in the Company and Barchi areas and contribute to economic development
