
Construction has officially begun on the third and fourth sections of Gull Bagh Road, extending from Gull Bagh Bridge to the Kabul–Logar Road. The project spans a total of 7,736 meters in length and 33 meters in width, with a budget of 457,939,830 Afghanis. The inauguration was attended by Amir Zmarak Yasir, Deputy Engineer for Construction Affairs of Kabul Municipality. Officials highlighted that Gull Bagh Road serves as a key economic corridor, linking Kabul’s western and southern zones. He also added that the road has been planned in four sections, with construction on the first and second sections already in progress, while work on the third and fourth sections has now officially started. Engineer Mirurrahman Naseri, Head of Programs and Projects Management Directorate at Kabul Municipality, noted that the third section measures 5,314 meters and the fourth section 2,422 meters, both 33 meters wide. The construction will include curbstones, pedestrian pathways, flowerbeds, streetlights, road markings, and other standard road features, with an expected completion timeline of one year. Local residents welcomed the launch of the project and pledged their full cooperation with Kabul Municipality during its implementation. Currently, 380 properties along the road are under expropriation, and property owners will be provided with alternative compensation in accordance with expropriation laws
