
Deputy Mayor for Urban Services, Mawlawi Mohammad Khalid Sajistani, evaluated the progress of three major road construction projects, including the routes from Airport Intersection to the Gumrak Area, from Karte Naw to Qala-e Zaman Khan, and further extending to the Kabul–Jalalabad Road. He highlighted that construction works must be executed with quality and speed, ensuring the use of standard construction materials. Sajistani also cautioned contracting companies that the projects must be finalized and opened for public use within the current year. The road from Airport Intersection to the Gumrak Area consists of two main and two secondary lanes, covering 2,794 meters in length and 60 meters in width. Meanwhile, the connecting road from Karte Naw to Qala-e Zaman Khan and onward to the Kabul–Jalalabad Road stretches 4,715 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
