Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring is making swift progress on the final asphalt paving of the new connecting road between Khair Khana Kotal and Qargha. The project is being executed to high-quality standards and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in the coming days. The road spans 7,645 meters in length and 30 meters in width, with 95 percent of construction already finished. Once operational, it will greatly improve traffic flow by linking northern and western Kabul, while also reducing congestion in the city’s central areas
