Kabul Municipality has completed the first layer of asphalt on Shirpor Road in District 10, officially opening it to traffic. The project has eased congestion in Shahr-e-Naw and surrounding areas, while also improving travel for residents of Qala-e-Fathullah, Chahar Qala, Qala-e-Musa, and other nearby neighborhoods. The road measures 646 meters in length and 20 meters in width, connecting Shirpor’s second road to the Shaheed Intersection in Shahr-e-Naw. Work on the second asphalt layer is expected to begin soon, while construction of pedestrian walkways is already in progress. Once completed, the road will be fully handed over for public use. This project is part of Kabul Municipality’s road network improvement plan, aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing urban mobility across the city
