In Kabul’s District 12, road marking has been completed on the new connecting road between the Second Block of Ahmad Shah Baba Mina to Amniat Township. The markings include continuous and dashed lines, pedestrian crossings, and traffic signs.
The Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management reported that the project, which measures 728 meters in length and 40 meters in width, also includes the construction of a canal and other standard road features. The work has reached its final stages and will soon be inaugurated.
The canal constructed along the road extends 750 meters in length, one meter in width, and 1.3 meters in depth. It is designed to play an important role in managing surface water in the area.
At the same time, road marking is underway on many other streets across Kabul, a process that helps improve traffic order and reduce accidents.
Municipal officials have called on residents to avoid driving over newly painted lines, noting that doing so not only breaches traffic regulations but also causes the markings to fade more quickly.
