
As part of Kabul’s ongoing efforts to expand its transportation network, construction is advancing on a new road from Stanikzai Intersection to Bagrami Road, with several sections nearing readiness for asphalt paving.
According to Mohammad Sharif Formuli Engineer of Programs and Projects Management Directorate said the project covers 2,531 meters in length and 40 meters in width. It includes sidewalks, flowerbeds, culverts, bicycle lanes, streetlights, traffic signs, road markings, and other standard road features.
He noted that excavation, filling, obstacle clearance, and curb installation are currently underway, with asphalt work scheduled to begin in the coming days.
Kabul Municipality highlighted its commitment to carrying out road construction and other infrastructure projects to boost the city’s economic growth and provide residents with enhanced social and urban facilities in line with the master plan.
