Kabul Municipality has installed modern streetlights along the newly constructed connecting road between Badam Bagh and Bagh-e Bala, located at the foothills of Polytechnic Mountain.
Deputy for Construction Affairs, Engineer Amir Zmarak Yasir, said that 72 lamp posts have been set up to provide proper lighting, which will enhance traffic safety, reduce urban crime, and contribute to the beautification of the area. He called on citizens to safeguard the new infrastructure and take responsibility for its maintenance.
The road is divided into two sections: the first stretches 900 meters from Badam Bagh to the foothills of Polytechnic Mountain, while the second covers 800 meters from the foothills to Karte Mamureen near the Continental Hotel. Both sections are 20 meters wide.
Recently completed by the Directorate of Works, Maintenance, and Monitoring, the road will soon be officially inaugurated.
Connecting Districts 4, 5, and 11, it is expected to play an important role in reducing congestion and improving traffic distribution across the city.
