Kabul Municipality has started asphalting a section of the new connecting road from Mahbas Intersection to Salim Karwan Road in District 12. This phase covers 1,270 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
The entire road stretches 2,009 meters, with widths varying between 24, 30, and 40 meters. It is being constructed to modern standards, including drainage systems, pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, green spaces, streetlights, and traffic signs.
Work is also ongoing on the remaining foundational sections to prepare them for asphalting.
Engineers from the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are conducting continuous technical supervision to ensure quality at all stages of construction.
