Kabul Municipality is rapidly advancing the construction of the remaining sections of the new connecting road from the Airport Intersection to the Gumrak area, with efforts underway to prepare it for asphalt paving soon.
The road, measuring 2,794 meters in length and 60 meters in width, was started last year and has so far achieved 80 percent progress. It is scheduled for completion before the onset of cold weather.
Meanwhile, work on sidewalks, greenbelts, and curbstones along the road is also in progress.
Engineers from Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are conducting continuous technical supervision to ensure the project is completed on time and with high quality standards.
