In District 8, the new connecting road from Beni Hisar to Stanikzai Intersection has been prepared for asphalt paving, with more than one kilometer of the route ready for the first asphalt layer.
The Directorate of Programs and Projects Management of Kabul Municipality stated that the road measures 2,561 meters in length and 40 meters in width. The project also includes the construction of drainage systems, pedestrian walkways, green spaces, bicycle lanes, culverts, streetlights, and road markings.
According to the Directorate, the project is scheduled for completion within the current year and will then be opened for public use. At the same time, construction is underway on the road extending from Stanikzai Intersection to Bagrami.
Once finalized, these projects will connect the Kabul-Logar Highway with Bagrami, easing traffic flow and offering greater convenience for daily commuters.
