Work is progressing on the fundamental sections of Kamari Road, situated west of the Bagrami project, with 50 percent of the project already completed.

Officials aim to complete the construction before the arrival of cold weather and hand it over for public use.

The road, located in District 22, extends 2,586 meters in total. Of this, 1,255 meters with a width between 26 and 31 meters will be asphalted, while 1,331 meters with a width of 6.5 meters will be concreted.

The project further includes the construction of a large water canal measuring 1,255 meters in length and two meters in width, 46 culverts each 4.4 meters long and three meters wide, a retaining wall 85 meters in length, 2.7 meters in height, and 1.9 to 2.1 meters in width, along with drains, sidewalks, flowerbeds, streetlights, road markings, and other standard facilities.

Constructed on the principle of balanced development and aligned with Kabul Municipality’s urban plan, the road is expected to significantly enhance transport infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, and offer greater ease for the residents of District 22.
