Construction work on the first phase of the Bagrami-Lata Band Road, connecting to the Kabul–Jalalabad Highway in District 21, is progressing rapidly. Soil transportation and the construction of side drains and small bridges are underway to prepare the road for asphalt paving soon. The project spans a total length of 3,300 meters and a width of 60 meters. It includes the construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes, flowerbeds, a drainage canal, four small bridges, approximately 7,000 cubic meters of retaining walls, and all standard components of a modern road. Upon completion, the road will facilitate easier transportation for residents of District 21 and strengthen economic and transit activities in the area. Recognizing its strategic importance in directing traffic flow from the south to the east, Kabul Municipality also plans to begin construction of the second phase soon.
