Kabul Municipality has completed the second asphalt layer on Shirpor Road, measuring 646 meters in length and 20 meters in width in District 10, which has now been opened to traffic. The project was carried out under Kabul’s Road Network Improvement Plan and is expected to play an important role in reducing traffic congestion in Shahr-e Naw and surrounding areas. With the construction of this road, residents of Qala-e Fathullah, Chahar Qala, Qala-e Musa, and nearby areas have gained improved transportation access. According to the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management of Kabul Municipality, the road stretches from Shirpor’s Second Road to the Shaheed Intersection in Shahr-e Naw. Currently, work on pedestrian walkways with interlock stones, traffic lights, and road markings is underway, after which the project will be officially completed and handed over for public use
