
Kabul Municipality has reported that construction of a new administrative building for the Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring has reached 80 percent progress, with efforts underway to complete the project soon. The five-story building, designed on a 900-square-meter plot, will include administrative offices, a conference hall, corridors, a kitchen, storage rooms, and restrooms. Once completed, it will provide a modern working environment for staff and support improved operations in the development and maintenance of urban infrastructure. In addition, construction of a standard laboratory for construction materials has also begun within the directorate’s compound, covering 300 square meters in a single-story design. Upon completion, this project will enable the directorate to deliver more efficient and effective services in the expansion and preservation of urban infrastructure for Kabul residents
