The second phase of the urban redevelopment project in the Panjsad Family area of District 15 has reached 80 percent completion.
The project is designed on a 1,234-square-meter plot and includes two residential blocks of eight and ten stories. The development will feature 76 residential apartments, shops, and large commercial stores.
In addition, the project incorporates green spaces, vehicle parking, pedestrian walkways, electricity systems, wastewater treatment, central heating, and a security room. Once completed, it will transform the area into a modern residential neighborhood in Kabul.
Kabul Municipality plans to implement such projects through land readjustment and redevelopment methods instead of land acquisition. It is also planned that similar projects will be designed and executed in other districts to transform unplanned areas into planned settlements and address housing needs.
