The newly constructed connecting road from Khwaja Baghra Roundabout to Qasaba in District 15, which began earlier this year, has been completed and officially opened to traffic.

According to Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management, the road measures 675 meters in length and 30 meters in width. Out of this, 435 meters have been asphalted, while the remaining 240 meters have been constructed with concrete.

The first layer of asphalt work on the road was recently finalized, creating significant ease for citizens in terms of movement and traffic flow.

The project also includes the construction of a culvert measuring 20 meters in length and 1.3 meters in width, along with drainage systems, pedestrian walkways, flowerbeds, road markings, lighting installation, and other components of a standard roadway.

With the completion of this project, transportation between Khwaja Baghra and Qasaba areas will become easier, while traffic congestion on the subroads of District 15 is expected to decrease.

It is noteworthy that the project has so far reached 79 percent completion and will be fully finished in the near future.
