Construction work on three subroads in the 7th, 8th, and 9th sections of District 18 has been completed and officially inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Kabul Municipality’s Director of Programs and Projects Management Directorate, Engineer Mirurrahman Naseri, along with local residents and community elders.
At the event, the Director of Programs and Projects Management Directorate stated that Kabul Municipality leadership has consistently focused on less-developed and remote areas. He added that similar projects will be designed and implemented in the future in areas lacking urban facilities.
According to Naseri, the road in the 7th section measures 595 meters in length, the road in the 8th section spans 970 meters, and the one in the 9th section measures 600 meters long, each with a width ranging from 5 to 6 meters. These roads, including the construction of drainage systems, were completed within three months at a total cost of 23.1 million Afghanis.
Previously, residents of these areas faced numerous difficulties due to poor road conditions, most of which have now been resolved. Locals also pledged to maintain the newly constructed roads.
It is noteworthy that these projects provided daily employment opportunities for around 150 citizens during their implementation.
