The first technical meeting on the preparation of Kabul Municipality’s Development Plan for the 1405 Solar Year was held under the chairmanship of Kabul Mayor Mawlawi Abdul Rashid.
The meeting was attended by deputy mayors, directors, and technical experts, who discussed various aspects related to drafting the municipality’s upcoming annual development plan.
During the session, the Kabul Mayor emphasized the importance of the development plan as a strategic roadmap for urban growth. He stated that the 1405 plan should be formulated with a focus on balanced development, priority needs, financial capacity, and available resources to ensure sustainable and effective progress for the city.
He added that the plan will encompass key infrastructure and development projects, including the construction of main and secondary roads, bridges, canals, culverts, pedestrian walkways, parks, and green areas. It will also include the installation of streetlights, the procurement and maintenance of essential machinery and equipment, and the design of new development initiatives.
Participants shared their insights and recommendations on project prioritization, budget estimation, and improvements to the planning process.
In conclusion, the Kabul Mayor underscored the need for adherence to technical standards, transparency in decision-making, and timely progress. He instructed relevant departments to finalize the draft of the 1405 Solar Year Development Plan within the specified timeline and submit it for approval.
