Construction work on the foundational sections of a new connecting road from Karte Naw road to the main road of Qala-e Zaman Khan, covering Districts 8 and 16, is underway in preparation for asphalt paving. The road, planned to be 3,070 meters long and 30 meters wide, will feature sidewalks, a 19,000 cubic meter retaining wall, flowerbeds, bicycle lanes, streetlights, and road markings. Authorities aim to complete the project within a short period and make it operational. Meanwhile, road construction is also ongoing from Qala-e Zaman Khan’s main road to the Kabul–Jalalabad highway.
