In District 15, the second layer of asphalt is being applied to the new connecting road extending from Khwaja Baghra roundabout to Qasaba, with completion expected soon.
The road, measuring 675 meters in length and 30 meters in width, includes a 435-meter asphalt section and a 420-meter concrete section.
The project also includes the construction of a 20-meter-long and 1.3-meter-wide culvert, drainage systems, pedestrian paths, flowerbeds, road markings, streetlights, and other features of a standard roadway.
According to the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management of Kabul Municipality, the project, which began earlier this year, is set to be completed to a high standard in the near future.
Once completed, the road will greatly improve transportation for residents of the Khwaja Baghra and Qasaba areas while reducing traffic congestion on secondary roads within District 15.
