The Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring of Kabul Municipality reports that the major underground road project at Baraki Intersection has made significant progress. The road, measuring 470 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 5.5 meters in depth, is being constructed from Naderia High School toward Traffic Intersection, supported by 525 pillars. Upon completion of the underground road, an elevated bridge will be constructed, extending 700 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and 5.5 meters in height, with 440 supporting pillars, spanning from Dahan-e Bagh Intersection to Parwan-Do Intersection. Officials stated that the project has been designed according to international standards following technical and engineering assessments. Once completed, it will help distribute traffic flow across multiple sections. The Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring is working to complete the underground road as soon as possible, while the elevated bridge project is currently in the procurement phase, with construction expected to begin next year. Kabul Municipality expressed gratitude to relevant authorities and residents for their cooperation in managing traffic flow and using alternative routes, emphasizing the vital role of all citizens in the successful implementation of this project
