Asphalt paving has started on the newly constructed connecting road from Alauddin Three-Way to Takhnikum in District 7, following the completion of foundational works.

According to officials from the Directorate of Programs and Projects Management, the asphalting process is being carried out in full compliance with technical standards. Currently, over 1,400 meters of the road are ready for paving, while work on the remaining sections continues to ensure completion before the onset of winter.

The road, which spans 1,767 meters in length and 30 meters in width, features sidewalks, curbs, and flowerbeds, along with the installation of streetlights, traffic signs, road markings, and other standard road components.

In addition, Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring is constructing a major bridge along the same route over the Kabul River. The bridge measures 28 meters in length and 18.4 meters in width and is designed to facilitate smoother vehicle movement.

Once both the road and bridge are completed, they will connect Darulaman Road with Chehelston Road — a development expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and stimulate economic growth in the surrounding areas.
