Under Kabul Municipality’s land readjustment project, construction is underway on 24 subroads in the Qala-e Bakhtiar area, located in the 22nd section of District 6.
These roads, totaling 3,245 meters in length and 4 to 9 meters in width, including curbs, have reached 35 percent completion and are expected to be substantially finished within the next two months.
The initial land readjustment project in this area was designed over 90 acres, covering 141 properties. The development plan also includes public facilities and standard urban services. The construction of these roads is expected to increase property values and provide owners with reliable documentation.
Local residents’ participation is considered essential for the smooth implementation of this project, ensuring necessary conveniences. Kabul Municipality has pledged to extend land readjustment projects to other districts, aiming to convert unplanned areas into structured urban zones.
The ultimate goal is to implement Kabul city’s master plan and provide meaningful urban services to residents who were previously deprived of such facilities.
