Construction work on the new connecting road from Karte Naw (near the Water Supply Company) to the main Qala-e Zaman Khan Road, linking Districts 8 and 16, has made significant progress.
The road, measuring 3,070 meters in length and 30 meters in width, is designed to include drainage systems, a 19,000-cubic-meter retaining wall, sidewalks, flowerbeds, bicycle lanes, streetlights, and road markings. Efforts are underway to complete the project within a short timeframe and open it for public use.
According to municipal officials, once completed, the project will provide residents with improved transportation access and help reduce traffic congestion on surrounding roads.
Meanwhile, construction work is also ongoing on the road connecting the main Qala-e Zaman Khan Road to the Kabul–Jalalabad Highway. Once both projects are completed, they are expected to significantly enhance transportation, social, and urban facilities in the area.
