
The construction of a major bridge over the Kabul River on the Qala-e-Shanan road has reached 85% completion and is scheduled to be finalized and opened within the next two months. The bridge stretches 60 meters in length and 18.4 meters in width, and has been supported with 90 pile. So far, 16 girders have been installed, marking a key stage in the project. In the upcoming phase, concrete flooring work will commence under the supervision of the Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Works Maintenance and Monitoring. Once operational, the bridge will ease traffic congestion in the eastern part of Kabul and greatly enhance transportation services for local residents
