
Concrete work on two subroads and two streets is underway in the Shiwaki area of District 22, carried out by Kabul Municipality in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). According to the Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management, the project spans a total length of 644 meters with widths of 3 and 6 meters. Including drainage systems, 80 percent of the work has been completed and is expected to be finalized to standard within the next two weeks. The construction of these streets and subroads will help address major transportation and environmental problems faced by residents in the area. Kabul Municipality remains committed to advancing urban infrastructure and addressing public needs.
