
Asphalt work on the second layer of the remaining 3,500-meter section of the Paghman old road in District 14 is progressing rapidly. According to the Directorate of Work Maintenance and Monitoring, the road stretches 9,153 meters in length and seven meters in width from Qargha Dam to Taq-e-Zafar. The first and second asphalt layers have already been completed on a five-kilometer section, and the remaining 3,500-meter section is now being asphalted. Meanwhile, construction continues on the unfinished sections of the road, with efforts focused on completing the project before the winter season begins. The project also includes the construction of retaining walls and 16 culverts measuring 9 and 12 meters in length and 2 and 4 meters in width along the route. Once completed, the project is expected to ease traffic congestion and offer greater convenience for residents of District 14 as well as visitors traveling to the recreational areas of Paghman
