The first phase of the urban redevelopment project in the 91-Family area of District 17 has reached 96 percent completion and is expected to be finalized and handed over for public use in the near future. The project, developed on a 1,485-square-meter plot, includes the construction of two ten-story buildings. Each structure features a basement, with the ground floor allocated for commercial purposes and the remaining nine floors for residential use. In total, the buildings will accommodate 108 residential apartments, along with shops, a large supermarket, and other essential facilities for daily living. According to the Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Land Readjustment and Development, the land readjustment and redevelopment policy will also be implemented in other districts, aiming to transform unplanned areas into organized and planned neighborhoods
