The first layer of asphalt has been completed on the connecting road from Qala-e Zaman Khan to the Kabul–Jalalabad Highway in District 16, with the second layer of paving scheduled to begin soon. The project, which spans 1,645 meters in length and 30 meters in width, includes the construction of a 201-meter-long canal with a width and depth of 1.5 meters, three culverts measuring 17, 31, and 45 meters in length, as well as roadside drains, flowerbeds, pedestrian walkways, and the main vehicular bridge over the Kabul River. The installation of lighting poles and road markings are also part of the project.
