Kabul Municipality has started a project to install ten pedestrian overpasses in congested areas of the city. The initiative was practically inaugurated in front of Kabul University of Education.
The first overpass, measuring 45 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 6 meters in height, has been designed with four steel pillars and standard stairways.
According to the plan, these overpasses will be installed in the city�s busiest locations, offering significant ease of movement for pedestrians and greatly reducing traffic accidents.
The total cost of the project is estimated at over 47 million Afghanis. Its purpose is to enhance pedestrian safety and improve urban order in high-traffic zones.
