Construction of a new connecting road from Karte Naw to the main road of Qala-e Zaman Khan, passing through Districts 8 and 16, has advanced significantly, with some sections already ready for asphalt paving. The road extends 3,070 meters in length and 30 meters in width. It has been designed according to urban standards and features sidewalks, retaining walls, drainage systems, flowerbeds, bicycle lanes, streetlights, road markings, and other standard elements. Engineers from Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Programs and Projects Management are carrying out continuous technical supervision at different stages of the project to ensure quality construction and timely completion. Once finished, the road will help address traffic issues in Kabul’s eastern zone and offer residents enhanced mobility and convenience
