Asphalt Work Begins on the New Road from Omaid Sabz Township to Irfani Road

After the completion of foundational works, asphalt paving has started on a 1,500-meter section of the new road extending from Omaid Sabz Township to Irfani Road in District 13.
The road has a total length of 3,834 meters and a width of 45 meters and has been designed to include a drainage system, sidewalks, flowerbeds, lighting, road markings, and other standard road components.
According to technical documents, asphalt work on the remaining sections of the road will be carried out next year.
Engineers from Kabul Municipality’s Programs and Projects Management Directorate are carrying out continuous technical and quality monitoring of the project.
Once completed, the road is expected to support economic growth in the surrounding areas and provide residents with improved transportation access.
It is also noted that with the arrival of winter, Kabul Municipality is conducting asphalt works on several roads where the foundational works have been completed, operating in two shifts during the day and night.
