The construction and expansion of the third section of Khair Khana Kotal Road, initiated this year by Kabul Municipality’s Directorate of Work Maintenance and Monitoring, is progressing systematically.
The road is designed along the right side from the Sarai Shamali area to Kotal, spanning 3,647 meters in length and 27 meters in width.
Earlier, after the completion of foundational works, the first layer of asphalt was successfully applied on a section measuring 1,800 meters in length and 12 meters in width.
Currently, construction activities are underway on the road’s foundational structures, retaining walls, drainage system, leveling, and hill excavation. Further asphalt work will proceed as weather conditions allow.
Considered an economic corridor in northern Kabul, the municipality is working to complete the project on schedule and to high-quality standards.
