Canal Construction in District 16 Continues

To manage surface water and prevent overflow onto roadways, Kabul Municipality has initiated the construction of a canal in District 16. The project runs from the National Bus Enterprise area to the Kabul River, extending 551 meters in length with a width of 1.1 meters, and is being implemented in accordance with technical standards, with efforts underway to ensure its timely completion.
Previously, the lack of a canal in this area caused surface water to spill onto roads, creating multiple difficulties for residents. The construction of this canal is expected to provide an effective and lasting solution for proper surface water management and to fundamentally address the longstanding problem.
