Basic construction works are currently in progress on the new connecting road from Karte Naw to the Qala-e Zaman Khan main road in Districts 8 and 16. Once weather conditions improve, the road will be prepared for asphalt paving.
Designed in line with urban standards, the road is 3,070 meters long and 30 meters wide, and includes sidewalks, drainage systems, bicycle lanes, street lighting, and road markings.
After completion, the road will connect Karte Naw to the Kabul–Jalalabad Road and is expected to greatly improve transportation convenience and ease of movement for city residents.
